Today we had such a fun day! I decided I need to be a better mom and do more fun things with Kaitlyn, so today I let her decide what we were going to do.

At 10:30 in the morning she decided that we needed to go get ice cream. I kindly told her that was a great idea but we needed to wait until after nap time. So immediately she starting running to her room so she could take a nap. Then I had to tell her that we had to eat lunch before we could take a nap, so she ran into the kitchen chanting "eat, eat, eat". Somehow I managed to hold her off until 11am for lunch then she darted into her room to take a nap.
ok so I'm not sounding so nice right now, but come on isn't 10:30 a little early for ice cream? As soon as she woke up she was so excited and ready to run out the door to go get ice cream. So we were off to Dairy Queen and the whole way she was chanting "ice cream, ice cream"!

I think she had the time of her life eating her ice cream cone. My favorite part was that inbetween each bite she would grab her napkin and wipe her mouth...she seriously is the biggest neat freak. So by the time the ice cream cone was all gone there was no mess for me to clean up on her or the table.

After Dairy Queen I asked Kaitlyn what she wanted to do next. Naturally she wanted to go to her favorite place...the park! I took her to a park that's a little bit farther away from our house
(not the one in our parking lot that we usually go to) because this park has a smaller jungle gym that is perfect for her to play on.

After going down the slide a million times and swinging on the bars above the slides, my usually very cautious daughter must have built up some courage....

Kaitlyn ran over to the bigger jungle gym and scared me silly by climbing up this ladder-ish thing. It made me really nervous but she was actually really good at climbing it
(and yes I did make sure I was standing there right underneath her just incase) And she went down this slide, which is actually the steepest slide I have ever seen. And we repeated this process yet another kajillion times!
ok maybe a little exaggeration there
And the last thing Kaitlyn wanted to do today was to go home get some Apple juice and watch Barbie! A perfect end to a perfect day! Kaitlyn was entertained and happy all day, and I had time to make dinner, vacuum and sit and cuddle with my little cutie before the movie was over! Oh how I love being a mom!!!
