Halloween Festivities

The day before Halloween Dan and I took our girls over to Cornbelly's. They were so excited to go, but once we got there things started out a little rough. Kaitlyn got stuck up in the attic of this cute little house

So after about 30 minutes of trying to coach her out of it, Dan finally went in to go fish her out.

While Kaitlyn was stuck in the house...Makenzie decided that she was afraid of the princess bounce house. Seriously!!! What is wrong with my kids?!?!!

Finally we found something that these two drama queens were happy about...The princess carriage.

Well that only lasted a few minutes until we took them to the dragon. Kaitlyn told Dan that she wasn't going to be afraid, but I think her expression tells us otherwise. Despite her initial fear she went in (Makenzie wouldn't even go any where near the thing).

And she came out HAPPY!

Eating suckers on the hay ride

Heidi was so good the entire time...she was perfectly content just chilling in the bjorn. She especially LOVED the hay ride! Every time we went over a bump she would just crack up.

Football

It may not be news to most of you, but Dan is a huge BYU fan. Every year he buys season tickets to the football games. Well this year I was unable to get a babysitter for one of the games, so he decided to take Kaitlyn along. She had such a fun time cheering on the Cougs, and eating a cougar tail. And Dan enjoyed spending some quality time with his little girl, teaching her how to cheer on the Cougars, and sing the fight song. Although I think he might prefer taking me to the games since I don't ask him every 5 minutes if the game is over yet.

Mountains

We have lived in Utah for about 7 years, and had never driven the Alpine loop. So we decided that it was time to finally do it before the snow comes and all of the beautiful fall colors are gone.
Toward the beginning of the drive we pulled over and walked around the little trail.
Our girls loved looking at all of the different colors and Kaitlyn kept asking us which colors we fall colors. She was a little sad when pink didn't make the list but once she saw some of the pretty red leaves she was pretty excited.

Makenzie just loved looking at and picking up the leaves.

And Heidi was just curious why nobody wiped the squash out of her nose.

We're glad we finally were able to drive through the mountains and really enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Not that any of my pictures do it justice
