Dear Max

You are such a cutie. You are always so happy, always smiling, always laughing, and such a joy to be around. I'm am so sorry that my daughter slammed the door on your finger and made it fall off. Hugs and Kisses!!! We LOVE you!!!

*** I found the finger tip, put it on ice and the doctors were able to reattach it. Hopefully it will take, if not it will just fall back off in a week

Camera Shy

Reasons for no posts the past 2 weeks...
- Kaitlyn has been boycotting nap time which is usually when I am able turn on the computer
- Nothing exciting has happened to post about (still waiting on pics from the blessing)
*although we did celebrate our anniversary last week so I guess I could have made a mushy post about how much I love Dan...but I didn't
- I have nothing interesting to say
But I think the best reason is
- Makenzie has been hiding from the camera
Case in point, today I took out the camera and look at what happened....
After much coercion I finally managed to snap this shot (nevermind the smushy sleeping face and mouth)
The only other picture I managed to take over the past 2 weeks was last Saturday when Steph came over and we made cookies this girl is NOT camera shy

In all reality our camera has been on vacation. It came back this morning with its batteries fully recharged and it's ready to get back in action.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

What we've been up to...

So I've been a slacker with my blogging lately but life has been a little chaotic the past month. In addition to Makenzie being born Dan's brother got married and we blessed Makenzie (pictures are on my sisters camera so those will come later), which means our house has basically been filled with family since Christmas.

One of Kaitlyn's favorite things to do is to "sweep wif Kenz". And I just think it is so sweet. I was really nervous that Kaitlyn was going to be really jealous of and not like Makenzie, but Kaitlyn is so sweet and soft to her and always tells me that she loves her :)

Makenzie is just growing up so fast, I can't believe she's already 4 weeks old! She really is such a cutie, but in almost every picture I take of her she makes funky faces. I guess Kaitlyn does the same thing so I guess it must runs in the family.

Ever since Makenzie was born I've been feeling bad for not paying as much attention to Kaitlyn. For example, the other day after nap time I sat Kaitlyn down at the counter with a cookie while I sat down on the couch with Makenzie to finish watching a show. After awhile I realized that Kaitlyn had been quiet for a little too long so I peek over and she had eaten all of the frosting off the cookie and crumbled the rest up and was spreading it all over the counter (and floor, and her clothes, and her face) When I asked her what she was doing she told me "I making you a heart" At least she was cute about it.

So this morning I decided to take Kaitlyn outside to build a snowman (thanks to my mom for the idea of the miniature version). It's a pretty pathetic looking snowman, but at least Kaitlyn had fun playing in the snow. I let her keep playing outside while I was watching inside with Makenzie until she decided that she was freezing. And yes that pathetic looking lump of snow is what is supposed to be the snowman.

BTW we found out that we will be moving to Virginia Beach for the summer! Dan's really excited because he wanted to go there, and I'm really excited because we'll be close to a beach again!
