We have finally moved permanently (not just for the summer) out of the house we have called home for the last 3 years, and we could not be more excited! Don't get me wrong it has been a great house, close to campus, in a great ward, and we have made a lot of friends while living there. But it is always exciting to move on. I thought it would be fun to show you all just a few of the unique things this house has to offer, most of which we will not miss.
Maybe these would be nice if you didn't have a toddler running around crawling ontop of and through, and could actually use them, but to me these shelves were just awkward....O and also notice the beautiful kitchen with only room for a card table shoved in the corner.
It was so nice to have a washer and dryer to use, but I am soooo looking forward to not having my laundry room double as a kitchen
Also akward....this bulky fireplace.
A small closet crammed packed with clothes. We had to use Kaitlyn's closet for clothes too, while her clothes were hanging on a clothes rack in her room. Although those drawers were akward they did come in handy since we had no room for a dresser in our room.
And who wouldn't love this beautiful bathroom? Tile everywhere that takes way too much effort to keep clean....scrubbing the grout everyother day, I will definately not miss.
And last but not least...the 2 dead trees in our front yard. Since we left the house every summer, during the 1st summer we were gone the whole yard died. The grass came back to life (somewhat) but those trees are as dead as a door knob.

lyd, EVERYONE needs to live in a really old place at some point in their lives... it builds character...

ps, i remember when we had a reunion in utah, and you didnt have kaitlyn yet (or she was still tiny)...
anyways, you had lots of little things on those shelves, and dawn and i said... um, good luck keeping kids out of that. you told us you would just teach them not to get into it... how did that work out?

You are hysterical! That was such a unique house. You know what though? You are going to always look back and laugh and have those pictures to tell your kids about the time you baked dinner and folded laundry at the same time ;)

I am cracking up reading about your house... I loved staying with you there... it was always fun to see where you would hide your food and cooking dishes in that tiny kitchen... what did you hide up in those wierd sliding cupboards all along the top of that kitchen? It was nice because you did always have your bowl of chocolate handy.. As for Emily's comment about the shelves. I was laughing hard about that too... You were so sure that your precious angel would listen to you and not pull on ornaments on a christmas tree. . . not touch the books and stuff on the lower shelves of that thing. seriously em joe chad and i have all laughed so hard about that... so Kaitlyn ALWAYS listens to you right.. and NEVEFR touches anything she shouldn't. Lyd.. You are funny... That is why I love you..
Well Kaitlyn did listen to me about not touching the tree or the ornaments. But as for the shelves I just didn't even bother putting anything up there once we moved back after the summer, except for a basket full of diapers and wipes.
