Dear Max

You are such a cutie. You are always so happy, always smiling, always laughing, and such a joy to be around. I'm am so sorry that my daughter slammed the door on your finger and made it fall off. Hugs and Kisses!!! We LOVE you!!!

*** I found the finger tip, put it on ice and the doctors were able to reattach it. Hopefully it will take, if not it will just fall back off in a week

Camera Shy

Reasons for no posts the past 2 weeks...
- Kaitlyn has been boycotting nap time which is usually when I am able turn on the computer
- Nothing exciting has happened to post about (still waiting on pics from the blessing)
*although we did celebrate our anniversary last week so I guess I could have made a mushy post about how much I love Dan...but I didn't
- I have nothing interesting to say
But I think the best reason is
- Makenzie has been hiding from the camera
Case in point, today I took out the camera and look at what happened....
After much coercion I finally managed to snap this shot (nevermind the smushy sleeping face and mouth)
The only other picture I managed to take over the past 2 weeks was last Saturday when Steph came over and we made cookies this girl is NOT camera shy

In all reality our camera has been on vacation. It came back this morning with its batteries fully recharged and it's ready to get back in action.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

What we've been up to...

So I've been a slacker with my blogging lately but life has been a little chaotic the past month. In addition to Makenzie being born Dan's brother got married and we blessed Makenzie (pictures are on my sisters camera so those will come later), which means our house has basically been filled with family since Christmas.

One of Kaitlyn's favorite things to do is to "sweep wif Kenz". And I just think it is so sweet. I was really nervous that Kaitlyn was going to be really jealous of and not like Makenzie, but Kaitlyn is so sweet and soft to her and always tells me that she loves her :)

Makenzie is just growing up so fast, I can't believe she's already 4 weeks old! She really is such a cutie, but in almost every picture I take of her she makes funky faces. I guess Kaitlyn does the same thing so I guess it must runs in the family.

Ever since Makenzie was born I've been feeling bad for not paying as much attention to Kaitlyn. For example, the other day after nap time I sat Kaitlyn down at the counter with a cookie while I sat down on the couch with Makenzie to finish watching a show. After awhile I realized that Kaitlyn had been quiet for a little too long so I peek over and she had eaten all of the frosting off the cookie and crumbled the rest up and was spreading it all over the counter (and floor, and her clothes, and her face) When I asked her what she was doing she told me "I making you a heart" At least she was cute about it.

So this morning I decided to take Kaitlyn outside to build a snowman (thanks to my mom for the idea of the miniature version). It's a pretty pathetic looking snowman, but at least Kaitlyn had fun playing in the snow. I let her keep playing outside while I was watching inside with Makenzie until she decided that she was freezing. And yes that pathetic looking lump of snow is what is supposed to be the snowman.

BTW we found out that we will be moving to Virginia Beach for the summer! Dan's really excited because he wanted to go there, and I'm really excited because we'll be close to a beach again!

10 Years Ago: I was 15, a sophmore in high school, a cheerleader, taught piano lessons, and was just about to meet and start dating Dan.

5 Things on my "to-do" list for today:

I Enjoy:
1- Spending time with my husband
2- When both of my daughters are happy at the same time

5- I guess I'd have to build a new house to hold all of the new toys

5 Jobs that I have had:

The fairy is gone....

My mom - the laundry doing, bed making, kitchen cleaning, bath giving, meal making, grocery shopping (and basically every other function I usually have to do) fairy - left yesterday, so today was the first day that the reality of having 2 kids sunk in. Not that today was anything difficult...Makenzie basically sleeps all day anyways...it was just nice to have Kaitlyn constantly entertained (and of course having my mom around too). One of my favorite things about having my mom around was that every night my mom and Kaitlyn would pick out books to read together the next morning and put them by the door of the guest room allowing Dan and I to sleep in.

As usual I am the worst at taking pictures, but here's what I got of the last week. Mostly just of Kaitlyn and Makenzie because every time Kaitlyn sits down next to Makenzie she tells me to take pictures of them.

Also I would like to know if it's just my family (due to my mom's obssesion with vaseline) or if it happens to everyone, but do most 2 year olds find the tub of vaseline and manage to cake 2 inches of it all over themselves and everything else within a 5 foot radius?

Here She Is....

Makenzie Anna Liddle was born Wednesday morning! My water broke at 2:30am we got the the hospital by 3am, then 1 epidural, 3 hours, and 2 pushes later she was was born Jan 2 at 6:04am, weighing in at 6lbs 6oz. She is such a cutie and such a good baby. Kaitlyn absolutely adores her and just wants to hold her all day.

Christmas

We had a such a great Christmas! It started out with my aunt Cathy's Christmas party which included some yummy food, gift exchanes, an appearance from Santa, and of course a lot of fun! Altough we had been talking about Santa for nearly a month when it came time for Kaitlyn to meet him she decided that she didn't like him anymore and was glad when he left Cathy's house to go back to the North Pole.

Dan's family came and spent the week of Christmas with us. It was fun to have our first house guests and a house full of family. Kaitlyn sure loved all of the extra attention she got from everyone! Over the week we all enjoyed opening presents, going to temple square, bowling, and of course lots of yummy food! Unfortunatley most all of the pictures ended up on Grandma Liddle's camera so we don't have much to show for that. Kaitlyn sure was spoiled this Christmas and she LOVED opening all her presents...once she realized there were more presents to open she would gasp and say "oooooooooo" every time it was her turn.

Nevermind my hugeness but here she is opening her first present...Christmas is definately more fun with a little one around.
