Yup, that's right! It's almost February and I'm just now getting around to posting about Christmas. We spent Christmas in Florida with Dan's family, but we left the cold a little early so we could drop the kids off with his parents while we enjoyed a week in Hawaii. No need to rub it in and share all those photos (really I just don't have any much to share), but our week basically consisted of laying by the pool, going to the spa, volleyball, eating, helicopter tour, surfing, and late game nights.
The one picture I do have is of Dan and I at a luau

I'm counting on you to email some pictures
While we were in Hawaii Kaitlyn and Makenzie enjoyed the Sunshine State with Grandma and Grandpa Liddle. Kaitlyn's favorite activity (or at least the one she always talks about) is feeding the ducks by their house.
Thanks Grandma for taking such good care of our kids!
Once we were back in Florida it was a lot of fun to have the entire Liddle family together for the first time in 3 years (in which time 2 spouses and 2 kids have been added). Days consisted of Mario cart, bowling, chess, and of course great food.
Liddle family tradition is that on Christmas Eve we watch "A Christmas Carol" while eating donuts and drinking eggnog. Kaitlyn really enjoyed staying up late and having a picnic
The next day we opened presents (go figure)
When all they really needed was a box or two
While we were in the Orlando area we just had to take Kaitlyn to Disney World, and she absolutely LOVED it! However Christmas break is probably not the best time to go there since just about everyone else and their moose was there too.
Although you can't tell she was SSSOOOOOOO excited to see Cinderella's castle
We rode the Carousel
Hit up the Peter Pan Ride. Which just so happens to have been Kaitlyn's first favorite movie (the same as her mom)
And of course saw the Princesses!
It took her a while to warm up to them
But by the time she got to Belle she would not stop talking
Belle kissed Kaitlyn on the forehead and she would NOT let me wipe it off
We went on a magic carpet ride
And had a tragic accident
Luckily mom saved the day and shared her icecream
It was a long (half) day, but well worth it to see her smile!
Then we came back home to Utah and Santa had left a wee something there too (spoiled kids)

2 people care:
Oh seeing those pictures makes me miss Florida. We miss the ducks in our backyard, too.
Look at your long hair. Have I told you that you are so beautiful Lyd? well you are. And, sorry Dan, but your girls definitely take after their mom. I love your pics. And don't feel bad. I'm posting Christmas tonight (if I get around to it and stop looking at other people's blogs). Love ya
